October might just be the best month to be in Prince Edward Island. With flavourful and exciting festivals, the harvest season in full swing, and Halloween just around the corner, there is plenty to add to your monthly to do list. Here is our list of things to do in PEI this month:
1. Delight in seasonal flavours
Harvest season is upon us, and the PEI Fall Flavours Food & Drink Festival is the perfect way to celebrate! With a two-week schedule full of authentic events, local ingredients, and unique experiences, there’s no better way to embrace the flavours of fall and experience what the Island’s fields and bays have to offer.

2. Get lost in a Maize

3. Relax and unwind at Mysa Nordic Spa

4. Celebrate fall at the Charlottetown Scarecrow Festival
Get ready for a month of fall fun as the streets of Charlottetown come alive with playful scarecrows around every corner! 6. Embrace the spooky season
When Halloween season rolls in, so do PEI’s most chilling ghost stories and haunted attractions! Whether you’re up for heart-pounding thrills or something more family-friendly, October is packed with eerie experiences to dive into. 7. Watch Anne of Green Gables fall in love
You can’t visit PEI without diving into the enchanting world of Anne of Green Gables! Catch Anne & Gilbert The Musical for a heartwarming journey that brings our beloved characters to life. This delightful show follows Anne as she navigates the ups and downs of life and love, all set against the stunning backdrop of our Island. Catch the show at the Florence Simmons Performance Hall in Charlottetown select days until October 15th.
8. Spend the day at a U-pick
Find the perfect pumpkin at the pumpkin patch, or frolic in an apple orchard looking for the best fruits for your apple pie. This classic fall activity is memorable and fun!

9. Close out golf season
The Island has some of the best golf Canada has to offer, and the season change makes these pristine and scenic courses all the more beautiful. It’s a great time to get a round or two in, while taking advantage of slower crowds, and end season rates! Mill River, Andersons Creek, and Glasgow Hills are all open late into October.
