Coastal Drives

Tiny Island, Big Adventure

A summer spent on Prince Edward Island is filled with all sorts of fun, from chasing sunsets to savouring flavours, Island tunes sung by the shore to beach hopping. Discovering the magic of PEI is what summer is all about and you’re sure to find all the best adventures around with the help of Tourism PEI. For one tiny island, PEI packs in a near endless list of places to explore, so here’s our go-to list to follow to make sure you round out your summer on a high note!

Discover the beauty of the
North Cape Coastal Drive

The North Cape Coastal Drive is the perfect place to begin an Island summer adventure. With gorgeous sunsets, iconic figures, incredible craftsmanship, and even a few four-legged paddling pals, Canada’s Oyster Coast packs a serious punch (with a whole lot of Island flavour!).

Explore the coastal cliffs and epic windmills at North Cape as you walk the beach, paddle the shores, or explore the Black Marsh Trail.

Step into the North Cape Wind Energy Interpretive Centre to learn about crazy storms, shipwrecks, and even ghost ships in the area!

At the Stompin’ Tom Centre you’ll have a front-row seat experience to learning about the legend himself, while grabbing a bite and getting those toes tappin’ and boots stompin’ to some tunes!

Follow that up at The Canadian Potato Museum where the almighty spud is King, and dive into PEI’s history – and a basket of fresh-cut fries!

A visit to the Evangeline Region wouldn’t be complete without discovering the unique craftsmanship of the Bottle Houses.

Breathtaking views and refreshing beach days await at the Cap Egmont and West Point Lighthouses!

And speaking of a beach day, we dare you to find a more unique experience than spending the day paddling with the Beach Goats in Richmond!

No North Cape adventure is complete without a visit to Mill River Resort for the relaxing getaway you’ve been dreaming of.

Fall in love with the heart of PEI
along the Central Coastal Drive

The heart of PEI will sweep you off your feet summer after summer! Nestled between the Red Sands and Green Gables Shores are classic island experiences for the whole family.

Homemade goodness at its very best! A visit to Ship to Shore will always be on our go-to list for these decadent treats.

How gutsy are you? Test your willpower at the Haunted Mansion in Kensington to see just how adventurous you really are!

A luxurious villa on a golf course in the heart of PEI? Say. No. More. A stay at The Gables of PEI is about as relaxing as an island vacation can get.

Dreamy, colourful, enchanting… just a few words we’d use to describe PEI’s North Shore. The coastal drive in Cavendish is a total stunner!

Explore the local flavour of
the Points East Coastal Drive

The rolling green hills and magnificent beachy views along the Points East Coastal Drive never fail to capture our heart! Full of local flavour, insanely cool beaches, and some of the Island’s best golf, Eastern PEI pulls out all the stops for your island summer experience!

Join the party of world-class entertainment with a craft beer in hand at Copper Bottom Brewing. Sit inside next to the tunes, or outside under the sparkling lights as you sip with a view overlooking the river!

At Rossignol Estate Winery, PEI’s rich soil has provided 20 years of high quality grapes, berries, and other fruits for award-winning wines at this beautiful vineyard and winery.

Can you believe the views at the Wheelhouse in Georgetown? And better yet, the menu is full of local produce, fresh island seafood, and creative flavours you’ll be back to try again (and again.)

A Points East beach day is nothing short of paradise especially with 50 beaches to choose from, but the views at Panmure Island puts this seaside stop at the top of our list.

Home to PEI’s Finest Golf, Eastern PEI is your one-stop-shop for an incredible day on the fairways. Between Dundarave, Brudenell, and Crowbush, a couple days spent along these greens and at these Rodd Resorts will make your entire summer!

A Tourism PEI summer is total magic. From the Northwestern windmills, to the eastern rolling greens, and every sandy shore in between. With plenty of summer left yet to be enjoyed, now is your chance to explore the Island’s most unique, delicious, and fun-filled spots! Where will you go first?
