10 Things To Do in PEI This April

April on Prince Edward Island feels like a reset. The days stretch a little longer, plans start filling the calendar again, and there’s a mix of food, events, and fresh air to ease into the season. Here are 10 ways to get out and enjoy it:

1. Go all in on Burger Love

PEI Burger Love is back for the entire month. Restaurants across the Island are putting their spin on the classic, and it’s a great excuse to try somewhere new (or revisit a favourite).

2. Sip your way through the Festival of Wines

PEI’s largest wine event is back with two nights of Grand Tastings, plus a lineup of Winemaker’s Dinners. Sample from 300+ wines, chat with producers, and pair it all with bites from some of the Island’s top kitchens.

3. Browse the Pinch Penny Fair

A long-running Island favourite and a dream for bargain hunters. This giant indoor yard sale is packed with gently used finds like books, plants, housewares, tools, and more. All proceeds support arts education programs at the Confederation Centre.

4. Plan your own craft beer crawl

Map out a few brewery stops and make an afternoon of it. Each spot has its own style, and spring is great time to explore before the summer rush. Check out our PEI Craft Beer Guide to get started.

5. Shop the Spring Atlantic Maker Market

Spend the day browsing handmade goods from Atlantic Canadian makers. Expect everything from jewellery to home pieces, and everything in between! It’s easy to find something you didn’t know you needed.

6. Step into a dinner theatre experience

Looking for something a little different? The Titanic-themed dinner theatre at Red Shores pairs a full meal with an immersive show for a night out that’s part story, part supper.

7. Catch a live show

From music to theatre, venues across the Island are back in full swing. Check what’s on at the Confederation Centre, Harbourfront Theatre, Harmony House, or another local theatre! You’ll likely find something worth a night out.

8. Book a slow day at the spa

Still shaking off winter? Take a day to reset. A massage, a facial, or even just a quiet hour goes a long way this time of year. Check out Pure Spa for a classic reset, or Mysa Nordic Spa for a more immersive outdoor experience.

9. Get out on the trails

Spring hikes hit different. Fewer crowds, cool air, and the first signs of the season changing. Try Greenwich for coastal views or Bonshaw for wooded paths.

10. Watch Setting Day

A true Island tradition. Head to a harbour early, grab a coffee, and watch the boats head out to start lobster season. It’s a simple and beautiful local ritual, and definitely worth seeing.
