PEI Lifestyle
Handmade From PEI
For a small province, PEI has an abundance of incredible art. Local artisans work hard to create world-class jewelry, home decor, paintings and even soap! With so many unique offerings to appreciate, here are a few of our favourite local handmade treasures.
Gallery With a View
Calling all art lovers! The Tony Diodati Art Gallery is surrounded by vistas of glittering water and rolling green fields, so you can see exactly where these paintings came to life. Tony is largely self-taught and frequently experiments with various styles to create colorful representations of his world. His Island originals often feature local landmarks as inspiration, see if you can spot the real thing on your tour of the Island!
Sounds of the Island
Bring sounds of PEI to your backyard, wherever it may be! Handmade in rural PEI, wind chimes from Island Winds are designed to recreate the soothing sounds of Prince Edward Island. With 8 tunes to choose from – varying from waves lapping on the beach to the rich tome of distant church bells, a hand tuned wind chime will be music to your ears for years to come.
Taste of Acadia
Step into of Prince Edward Island’s vibrant Acadian culture and heritage in the Evangeline Region. Accompanied with world-class local music, the Abram’s Village Handcraft Co-op features distinctively Acadian crafts made using skills passed down from generation to generation. Expect to find knitted hats, mittens, sweaters, quilts, pottery, woodcarvings, paintings and other one-of-a-kind treasures made lovingly by skillful hands.
Ceramic Treasures
Village Pottery is PEI’s longest running pottery shop! With 44 years of experience, the unique, yet functional ceramic treasures are sure to impress. This shop is truly a family affair as each piece is handcrafted with love by the Scott family. With unique colour combinations and pottery jewelry, these potters are making waves across the Island!

If you’re not interested in pampering products, Moonsnail also offers a large selection of naturally inspired local crafts, gifts and jewelry.
Handmade Fun
The Toy Factory began as a grandfather’s workshop in 1972. Today the wooden toys are still made by hand, one-at-a-time. Bonus – the store is kid friendly! Stop in and play-test hundreds of toys in store or visit the toy-making workshop to witness the magic being made firsthand.
