Things to Do

Unique PEI Experiences

Prince Edward Island has an abundance of dazzling nature, rich history, and delicious homegrown cuisine. With so much to explore there are many ways to Experience PEI hands-on with the locals that know it best! Whether it’s by harvesting your own dinner or constructing the sandcastle of your dreams, here are some of our favourite ways to experience the Island from the inside out.

Experience the true meaning of Field to Fork

Witness your evening meal transform from the fields of Prince Edward Island to your plate! Start off your interactive dining experience by helping to create artisan bread featuring locally grown black garlic. On the way to dinner at The Table you’ll make many stops, including an organic vegetable farm, Green Gables oysters and Hope River Farm. Throughout the journey you’ll get the opportunity to meet and speak with the local farmers that help cultivate the delicious local delicacies that will fill your plate.

Back at The Table, you’ll enjoy a fresh meal filled with the local ingredients you witnessed being harvested. Dinner is served on a large harvest table, surrounded by friends old and new, in a converted church overlooking blossoming farmers’ fields. Sounds pretty perfect doesn’t it? Learn more here.

Become an Owner for an Evening

Harness racing has a rich history in Prince Edward Island dating back over 150 years. Take part in the sport by becoming an owner for the evening! Before the races you’ll visit the paddock to meet your horse and trainer to discuss race strategy. Then head to the Top of the Park restaurant for a delicious locally sourced meal. Feel the rush as your horse races to the finish line! If your horse is the champion you’ll go to the Winner’s Circle, for a picture with your steed and bragging rights for life! Learn more here

Dig for your dinner

Visit the picturesque south shore village of Victoria-by-the-Sea for an unforgettable day spent on the ocean exploring PEI’s beautiful coastline. Hopping on By-the-Sea’s Clam Digging Kayak Tour allows you to harvest your own dinner! A guide will lead you to the Tryon Shoal during low tide where you’ll dig for the tasty mollusks before enjoying clam chowder cooked right on the beach. Learn more here

Build your own Sensational Sandcastle
