Island Eats
Ultimate Lobster Supper Guide
Seafood shacks and restaurants line the shores of Prince Edward Island, offering East Coasters and visitors a chance to crack and pick at the freshest lobster in the country. This delicious tradition honours more than 1,200 licensed lobster fishermen, who work long hours out of a labour of love and call this Island their home.
To celebrate the Island’s strong fishing industry, grab a bib and head to one of the Island’s best lobster suppers. Make sure to go hungry, there’s more than fresh lobster on the menu (think fresh mussels or the local favourite: strawberry shortcake!)
New Glasgow Lobster Suppers
Among the rolling hills of New Glasgow, you’ll find his third-generation family-owned restaurant that has been proudly serving up fresh lobster the Island way since 1958, making it the perfect tradition to your Island summer.
Fisherman’s Wharf Lobster Suppers
Arrive on an empty stomach because there’s a 60 foot salad bar, including a large range of desserts available in the Lobster Supper Dining Room. Nestled in beautiful North Rustico, Pier 15 also includes a family restaurant with a full menu, serving lunch and supper, as well as a large gift shop stacked with local treasures.
The Fiddling Fisherman
You could not get a fresher feed than this! Set sail off the picturesque Souris Harbour aboard the Chaisson A Dream for a truly unforgettable experience. On the Lobster Lovers experience, lobster fisherman, Captain JJ Chaisson, takes you out to his favourite fishing spot where you get to haul up an authentic lobster trap. Dine on the sweet catch of the day, boiled in seawater and complete with all the fixins, while the captain himself entertains you with traditional fiddle music and dance.
