PEI Lobster: 5 Delicious Ways

When it comes to PEI lobster, you can catch us Islanders talking about it all day, every day. We can’t help it! Not only is it delicious, but it’s a wildly important and successful industry here on our fair isle. And truly, what’s not to love? This salty but sweet treat from the sea is an incredible feast all on its own. But using lobster as an ingredient in your decadent dishes can make it even more exceptional. With fall lobster season upon us, take your obsession to the next level with some new recipes… starting with these, from the pros at Lobster PEI!

Baked PEI Lobster & Brie Dip

Lobster Filled Potatoes

Ahhh, all the glories of Prince Edward Island in one dish. There’s not much Islanders are more passionate about than PEI potatoes and PEI lobsters. And for good reason!  There’s a richness to the potatoes here and a sweet freshness to our lobster. Combining the two just seems natural, does it not? Lobster filled potatoes are a great side dish or even a main course, you choose!

Lobster Pasta with Lobster Sauce

Look, we don’t blame you if you want to eat lobster for the rest of time. Just like we won’t say a word about you wanting to eat pasta for every meal. You know why? Because we’re right there with you! Why not add in a second lobster pasta dish to your favourite recipes? This recipe is bright, fresh, and easy to make. What’s not to love?

Whole Cooked Lobster

While almost every meal can be made better by adding lobster, there’s never anything so quintessentially PEI (not to mention delightful) as boiling a lobster, cracking it open, and dipping each piece into warm, melted, salted butter (if you’re drooling at this point of your reading, you’re not alone). While preparing a traditional lobster feast is old hats to some, it’s surprising how few could confidently rock the chef’s hat at a lobster boil. Understandably, this process can be a little daunting, but there’s no time like the present to try! Boiling your own lobster is a badge of honour you can wear proudly for many lobster seasons to come.

On PEI, lobster isn’t just a way of life, it’s a prized addition to any meal – nutritious, sustainable and oh-so good. Try these recipes for yourself and let us know what you think!
