This small, unique airport, bursting with hospitality, is conveniently located just 15 minutes from downtown Charlottetown, and ripples with a hassle-free Island vibe.
Travellers can step off the plane and straight on to “PEI soil” a.k.a the airport’s apron, be greeted by family and friends in the spacious arrivals area and snap a selfie with ‘Bessie the Cow’ from COWS ice cream. There’s a large visitor information centre filled with maps, brochures and interactive displays, and car rental booths that make exploring the Island by car easy.
Inside the airport is Budley’s Restaurant & Lounge offering hot meals, sandwiches and snacks with a fully licensed bar featuring local craft beer. The restaurant prides itself on homemade baked goods prepared from scratch daily, so you can have your cake and eat it too. Daily specials include roast beef dinners to fish cakes.
Adjacent to Budley’s Restaurant is a gift shop with many local products to take a piece of the Island with you. If you forgot to find a souvenir or a special gift for a loved one, here you can find a variety of preserves and more from the Island Preserve Company, jewelry, clothing and Anne of Green Gables gifts and novelties as well as cook books from PEI chef Michael Smith.
