Insider’s Tip

A flight through YYG is your fasted route to PEI so you can spend more of your vacation on Island time!

YYG Charlottetown Airport is PEI’s only commercial airport! This small but mighty airport is bursting with Island hospitality and is just 15 minutes from downtown Charlottetown.

YYG fliers step off the plane and straight onto PEI soil to be greeted by family and friends in the spacious arrivals area. Dreaming of exploring the island by car? YYG has six rental car companies to help you ride in style. YYG is centrally located in Charlottetown, making it simple to reach the city by shuttle, bus, or taxi.

Inside the airport is Budley’s Restaurant & Lounge offering hot meals, sandwiches and snacks with a fully licensed bar featuring local craft beer. Well-loved by locals for their crispy fish and chips, Budley’s prepares homemade baked goods from scratch daily so you can have your cake and eat it too.

The Island is brimming with locally made goodies, clothing, and art that capture the Island’s essence. The YYG gift shop is stocked with handmade local treasures so you can take a piece of PEI home with you. Whether it’s a delectable preserve from the Island Preserve Company, a whimsical PEI t-shirt, or an Anne of Green Gables chocolate or trinket, the YYG gift shop has the perfect keepsake to remind you of your PEI adventure.

Before your return flight, don’t forget to check out the Just Go! wall in the YYG departures lounge. This curated photo wall displays Islanders’ travel photos from around the globe to inspire your next adventure. Grab a drink and snack from Budley’s and head to The Dock, YYG’s new fully licensed outdoor departure lounge patio, to soak up every last drop of Island sunshine, and watch flights take off from the YYG tarmac.

Connecting you to the Island has never been easier, as YYG offers direct flight service to Toronto and Montreal year-round and direct flights to Calgary, Edmonton, and Ottawa seasonally.
