Plan Your Visit - BeachesLakeside Beach
Lakeside Beach is 39km northeast of Charlottetown, just outside the community of Morell. Lakeside Beach is beloved by Prince Edward Island locals. The mile long sandy beach is just east of PEI National Park’s Greenwich Beach, sharing the impressive dunes and dreamy setting without the traffic and development of the National Park. This gorgeous white sand beach sits nestled next to the lush fairways of the award-winning Links at Crowbush Cove Golf Course where golfers get a panoramic view of the ocean. Lakeside Beach is a perfect spot to enjoy a simple beach experience (so no washrooms, canteen, parking lot or lifeguards). If you’re staying in the area, try a guided horseback ride along the beach from Circle T Trail Rides in Crowbush.
Insider’s Tip: It’s free! The locals park on the road leading to the beach. When you’re all beached out, head to the nearby Riverside Diner and try some pizza by the slice or dust off your sandy feet and dress for dinner at the Rodd Crowbush Golf & Beach Resort.
Where to Find It: Lakeside Beach is 39km northeast of Charlottetown. Take PE-2 from Charlottetown toward St. Peters past Scotchfort and Mt. Stewart. Turn left onto Macadam Road before Morell. Then right onto Lakeside Road and left onto Lakeside Beach Road.
