Covehead Beach

Covehead Beach sits within PEI National Park between Brackley Beach and Dalvay. To reach the shore, you’ll pass the red-and-white Covehead Harbour Lighthouse, one of the most photographed landmarks along the North Shore.

The beach itself is a wide stretch of soft sand with views across the harbour entrance. Fishing boats from Covehead Harbour pass by regularly, adding a bit of harbour activity to an otherwise quiet shoreline.

Unlike some of the larger National Park beaches, Covehead Harbour Beach does not have lifeguards or on-site washrooms. The shoreline is just a short walk from the harbour area.

A valid Parks Canada pass or daily admission fee is required to visit.
