Canoe Cove Beach

Canoe Cove Beach is located within Lloyd Inman Memorial Park on PEI’s South Shore, along the warmer waters of the Northumberland Strait.

It’s an easygoing spot for a family beach day with red sand underfoot, low tides for exploring, and bright red cliffs lining the shore. On site, you’ll find a canteen, playground, shower facilities, and picnic areas, making it simple to settle in for the afternoon.

The name “Canoe Cove” dates back to a time when Mi’kmaq people brought British soldiers ashore here by canoe.

Today, the protected bay means calmer waters and fewer breezes than the North Shore, so you’re less likely to be shaking sand off your towel.
