Plan Your VisitPEI Beaches

Brackley Beach, PEI National Park

Brackley Beach is just 20 minutes from Charlottetown and is the largest and most popular beach in the PEI National Park.

This protected stretch of coastline runs from Rustico to Dalvay, with six beach areas along the way.

The Gulf Shore Way East, a popular multi-use trail, traces the coast for 10 km, passing salt marshes and sand dunes. It’s a favourite for cycling, running, and long walks with Gulf views, easy to pair with a beach day.

As part of the National Park, the dunes here are fragile and protected. Stay on boardwalks and marked trails to help preserve the shoreline.

A valid Parks Canada pass or daily admission fee is required to visit. Brackley is wheelchair accessible, and a beach wheelchair with wide tires can be reserved through the visitor centre.

LIFEGUARD: Supervised daily during peak summer season.

WASHROOM: Public washroom on site.
