Plan Your VisitPEI Beaches

Cedar Dunes Provincial Park

Cedar Dunes Provincal Park, also known as West Point Beach, is located near the westernmost tip of PEI. The shoreline stretches for miles, with deep red sand and low dunes overlooking the warm waters of the Northumberland Strait.

The shallower water and some natural protection from the wind make this a popular spot for families with young children. It’s also a great place to wander the shore in search of sea glass.

The black-and-white striped West Point Lighthouse stands nearby and is a favourite for photos. Sunset here is worth staying for.
