A Dazzling PEI Spring
Oh springtime, what joy it brings!! After a long – dare we say the word? – winter, there is nothing more rejuvenating than seeing green grass, feeling the warm sun, and noticing the first signs of new life and the bright, beaming colours of flowers and fresh leaves on the trees. Islanders are no strangers to a glorious spring season, but each and every year it feels as though it’s become more beautiful than the last.
With spring comes our favourite holiday: Setting Day (and better, yet… lobster season!), longer days, birds chirping, and adventures around this absolutely dazzling Island.
Spring breathes fresh new life into the air…
…with colour and beauty popping up around every turn!
And to be sure, flowers aren’t the ONLY things ready to grow this season!
This is the time of year when beach visits become even more magical.
Sunsets that make you fall in love…
And sunrises that give you a reason to get out of bed in the morning!
There’s a certain excitement that spring brings with it.
The excitement of getting back on the incredible PEI golf courses…
The excitement of longer days, warmer sun, fresher air…
But for Islanders the thing that might be most exciting of all is of course…
Setting Day and lobster season!
When our hardworking lobster fishers wake before the crack of dawn…
…hopeful for beautiful skies and praying for safe sails.
These small fishing villages scattered across the Island hold our hearts,
while for many during this season, their hearts are out at sea.
The beauty of Prince Edward Island is unmatched…
but a spring time sunset and a safe season on the sea?
There’s truly nothing better.
Springtime is a season of refresh… bright colours, warm air, dazzling sunshine, and lobster – so much lobster! It’s hard to choose a favourite time of year when life of Prince Edward Island is stunning year round, but spring certainly holds a very special place in all of our hearts. Now it’s time to get outside and enjoy!
