Festival of Small Halls
For 15 days in June, lap up the lush rural surroundings of Prince Edward Island in more than 40 vibrant community halls, all while enjoying the hottest in home-grown talent. PEI Mutual Festival of Small Halls runs from June 10 – 24, 2018.
Anne of Green Gables – The Musical™ (the world’s longest-running annual musical!) returns to The Charlottetown Festival this year for its 54th season. Joining the lineup this season is the global phenomenon that has wowed audiences for over 40 years, Jesus Christ Superstar. On stage at The Mack this season is the world premiere of On the Road with Dutch Mason.
Stompin’ Tom Fest
A must-see is the second annual Stompin’ Tom Fest held on Canada Day weekend. It features Taw Connors, the son of the legend, as well as Whisky Jack Songs and Stories of Stompin’ Tom. Stompin Tom Fest runs from June 29 – July 1, 2018.
Cavendish Beach Music Festival
Shine up your cowboy boots for the biggest outdoor festival in Atlantic Canada. This year Cavendish Beach Music Festival is stacked with an allstar line-up that includes Luke Bryan, Chris Young, Dallas Smith, Brett Eldredge, and Shawn Mendes. Cavendish Beach Music Festival runs from July 6 – 9, 2018.
Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival
The Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival was created to preserve and celebrate Prince Edward Island’s rich tradition of music. For over 4 decades this festival has drawn fans both young and old from around the world. Lineups have featured top Atlantic Canadian performers like Natalie MacMaster, Ashley MacIsaac, Richard Wood, Troy MacGillivray, Jerry Holland, The Chaisson Family, The East Pointers and many others. The Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival runs from July 13 – 15, 2018.
Old Home Week
Old Home Week is a 10-day long celebration of Prince Edward Island’s agricultural way of life. With the finest harness racing leading up to the acclaimed Gold Cup and Saucer race, livestock shows and amusement park rides, there’s literally something for everyone. Old Home Week runs from August 9 – 18, 2018.
PEI’s Fall Flavours Festival is home to some of the most unique and intimate food experiences you can find. A month of nonstop authentic Island flavours, events hosted by celebrity chefs, and culinary adventures you’ll rarely find anywhere else, this festival is a must for any food lover. Fall Flavours Festival runs from August 31 – September 30, 2018.
PEI International Shellfish Festival
Culinary by day and kitchen party by night, the PEI International Shellfish Festival is an absolute mecca for shellfish lovers. The weekend has it all, from competitions between the world’s best oyster shuckers, to copious amounts of Island quahogs, mussels, oysters, lobster and other culinary delights. The shellfish is served up all day and night alongside Food Network personalities and East Coast entertainment. The festival runs September 13 – 16, 2018.
