Why You Should Visit PEI in 2024

Known for its red sand beaches, rolling farmland, and friendly locals, Prince Edward Island is a gem just waiting to be discovered. PEI offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural richness that will stay in your heart long after summer is over. As you write your travel bucket list for the year, here are some reasons you should visit PEI in 2024.

Beaches, beaches, and more beaches

Did you know that PEI has over 800 kms of beaches along it’s shoreline? That’s a lot of sand and sea to explore. Each beach offers something a little different than the next, so there’s a beach here for every taste! We like the sounds of spending the summer searching for you’re favourite beach.

All Things Anne

If you’re an Anne lover, 2024 is a great year to visit PEI! Our favourite red-head is back at The Charlottetown Festival to start it’s bi-annual run, and we’re celebrating L.M. Montgomery’s 150th birthday! Plan yourself an Anne-inspired trip to visit all of the Anne attractions, including L.M. Montgomery’s birthplace, and the Green Gables Heritage Place.

With over 60 lighthouses scattered along the coastline, PEI is a haven for lighthouse enthusiasts. Take a scenic drive along the any of the Island’s coastal drives to discover these iconic structures. Each lighthouse has a unique story to tell, while adding to the already spectacular views of its surrounding landscapes.

No visit to the Island is complete without indulging in a feed of the mouthwatering PEI Lobster. From lobster rolls, and chowders to traditional lobster suppers and boils, there are many ways to savor the flavours of this maritime delicacy. Sensational Sunsets

Whether you’re on the beach, atop a lighthouse, or enjoying a scenic drive, PEI’s sunsets cast a magical glow. From stunning reds and oranges, to soft pastel pinks and purples, the Island’s skies become a kaleidoscope of colours as the day draws to an end.
