PEI’s Best Seaside Patios

There is no better way to enjoy an Island meal than with the seaside as your backdrop, and PEI is home to some dazzling coastal views. Mix them with the Island’s local cuisine and you have a winning combination. Here is our guide to PEI’s top patios where you can enjoy the best of land and sea!

1. Point Prim Chowder House

Located next to PEI’s oldest and most historic lighthouse, Point Prim Chowder House provides an ocean-front experience you won’t soon forget. Try the famous steamer pot or any one of their delicious seafood chowders.

2. Brakish Eastcoast Dockside Drinkery

Kick back and relax at this waterside bar along the Charlottetown Harbour. Brakish offers Maritime craft beer and serves all locally sourced food. If you want to taste PEI, this is the place to go!

3. Lobster on the Wharf

This Charlottetown patio isn’t just seaside – it’s literally on the sea. With a broad menu, there is something to satisfy every appetite. Be sure to check out the fresh seafood market attached to the restaurant for some seafood to go!

4. The Catch

While exploring Western PEI, you won’t want to miss out on this signature West Point dining experience. Close to the prominent West Point lighthouse this locale is well known for their oyster tacos and gourmet burgers.

5. Clam Diggers

Enjoy the waterfront view in Cardigan and witness your food being harvested before your eyes. As the name suggests, clams are the specialty, but this beach house is also famous for its Island fish and chips and delicious snow crab. Certainly worth the short drive from anywhere on PEI!

6. Fishies on the Roof

Although not located directly on the shore, PEI’s only rooftop patio offers a breathtaking view of the Charlottetown Harbour. This new downtown hotspot has tasty potato nachos and an eclectic vibe.

7. Clubhouse on the Links

Hear the waves crash over Lakeside Beach as you watch golfers face a tough test on the Links at Crowbush Cove. Clubhouse on the Links is a great spot to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner whether you’re a golfer or not.

8. The Lobster House

Sitting on the scenic Summerside Baywalk, The Lobster House serves world class seafood, and made-from-scratch desserts! Enjoy some steamed mussels or seafood jambalaya while lounging over the gorgeous Summerside oceanfront.

9. Peake’s Quay Restaurant and Bar

Established on the Charlottetown waterfront, Peake’s Quay is the centre of Island action with live music daily and a bumping nightlife. Relax with a cold beverage and snack on PEI’s largest outdoor patio, or stop by later on and party with the locals!
