There are simply some places, some kinds of adventures, that make you want to fall in love. We’ve done the legwork for you and have rounded up the most intimate inns and resorts that we think scream romantic getaway!

Dalvay by the Sea

A favourite of the royal couple and honeymooners alike, look no further than this historic and elegant hotel on the Island’s north shore for a quiet weekend away with your partner. Nestled among the dunes and overlooking the ocean, Dalvay by the Sea is the place to go when you want to truly get away from it all.

Insider’s Tip: The sticky date pudding, a mainstay at Dalvay’s MacMillan Dining Room is one of PEI’s most famous desserts.

Rodd Crowbush Golf & Beach Resort

Looking for the perfect mix of romance and activity? Crowbush is a couple’s golfing paradise. Spend a day on a golf course known for its picturesque vistas of dunes and ocean, and cap off the evening with a romantic dinner and night in one of their 5 star rooms.

Insider’s Tip: Have lunch on the patio at the Clubhouse on the Links and soak in the sun. It is the most spectacular view of the course overlooking the ocean.

Shaw’s Hotel

Tucked into an inlet by the bay you’ll come down a picturesque lane and find Shaw’s, a country inn with a traditional Prince Edward Island feel. As the longest running family-run hotel in Canada, Shaw’s has a lovely old-time feel steeped in tradition. With a shoreline stretching out behind the hotel, there’ll be plenty of opportunity for seaside walks with your sweetie. Sip a glass of wine at the beautiful wooden bar in the dining room, it has a wall of windows so you’ll be able to catch the sunsetting over the bay.

Insider’s Tip: Take the short walk down to Brackley Beach to watch one of the best sunset’s on the Island.

Fairholm National Historic Inn & Carriage House

Nestled in beautiful downtown Charlottetown is the cozy and gorgeous Fairholm Inn. This Inn is all about location, it’s the perfect spot to take in the quaint city life of Charlottetown. Spend an afternoon at the outdoor patios on Victoria Row then take in a show at the Confederation Centre. The best part is you can stroll back to your beautiful historic suite.
