For 14 days in June, lap up the lush rural surroundings of Prince Edward Island in more than 40 striking community halls whilst enjoying the hottest home-grown talent live, at the PEI Mutual Festival of Small Halls, June 11 – 24, 2017.
More than 50 performances, including traditional music, storytelling and dance, will echo through cherished halls –of all shapes and sizes – in the heart of communities across the Island. The award winning festival not only breathes life into rural landmarks, but also brings together visitors and local folk alike in places many have not yet discovered – down rural roads and breathtaking coastal drives.
PEI Mutual Festival of Small Halls was also nominated in 2017 by Music PEI and the East Coast Music Association for Event of the Year and in 2016 by Canadian Event Industry Awards for “Outstanding Logistical Achievement,” which they won in 2015. And the annual festival that started in PEI nine years ago has proudly influenced others Festival of Small Halls which are popping up around the world.
Bring your family and friends and celebrate PEI’s rich Irish, Scottish and Acadian cultures in an exceptional acoustic setting. The festival also gives stage to the Island’s wealth of burgeoning talent from singer-songwriters and storytellers, as well as bringing award winning acts back to their roots.
Celebrate the Festival of Small Halls by making it a family day out with a road trip along one of the breathtaking PEI Coastal Drives, which will take you through the heart of many seaside communities.
