New Glasgow Lobster Suppers

New Glasgow Lobster Suppers
604 Rte. 258 , New Glasgow

Tie on your bibs and tuck in to the juiciest plump claws and tender tails for the lushest lobster around at New Glasgow Lobster Suppers, which has been proudly serving generations of Islanders and visitors alike since June 24, 1958.

This year the longest running traditional lobster supper on Prince Edward Island promises more than just a feed, as it celebrates its 60th anniversary. Diners can share their New Glasgow traditions, and why they return to the family rooted restaurant, for a chance to win a complimentary family lobster supper. The draw for the winner will take place on the anniversary date.

Meals come with warm homemade buttery rolls and a choice of appetizers, including soups, salads or seafood chowder, and freshly steamed Island Blue Mussels.

There are plenty of entrée options from juicy steak, salmon, chicken, ham and haddock, as well as a kids menu. But let’s not forget the irresistible and famous melt in your mouth “mile high” lemon meringue pie, which makes for a lighter way to conclude a feed.

It’s not surprising New Glasgow Lobster Suppers won the Shellfish Excellence Award at the 2017 PEI International Shellfish Festival sponsored by Restaurants Canada.

Set on the banks of the peaceful River Clyde, and with the backdrop of the rolling green hills of New Glasgow, it’s enough to make you set your eyes on the horizon and swoon until both sun and lobster vanish.

Insider’s Tip: Prepare for an amazing meal by arriving with friends and family on an empty stomach.
