For generations, Islanders and visitors alike have been making a stay at Marco Polo Land a part of their PEI summertime tradition. The first view of the white buildings sitting on top of the rolling hills on Route 13 in Cavendish, means you have almost arrived.
With over 100 acres of Prince Edward Island camping, trailering and RV sites, Marco Polo Land is a world-class campground that offers something for the whole family to enjoy, including three heated pools, playgrounds, a jumping pillow, and a petting farm. Island insiders recommend the daily recreation program, evening hay rides and our favourite theme week is Christmas in July.
Another added bonus at Marco Polo Land is their onsite store which is stocked full of camping supplies and food. An evening walk or bike ride to the store is the perfect excuse to buy a treat. You can then relax by your own campfire roasting hotdogs and making s’mores.
Your camping experience at Marco Polo Land can vary depending on if you want to be back to nature or some camping comforts with 3-way, 2-way and un-serviced sites available. There are clean bathrooms with hot showers as well as a Laundromat on site.
If you love the idea of camping but would rather sleep in a cozy bed, the Marco Polo Inn is a great choice. The inn, built around 1925, has six guest rooms that are each uniquely decorated to reflect classic country charm. You can stay at the Inn but still enjoy all the campground fun and festivities.
Insider’s Tip: If you like to stay cool in the hot summer, choose your site in the woods or along the tree lined edge of one of the fields.
