Avonlea Village

Avonlea Village, Cavendish, PEI

Avonlea Village offers an experience in genuine Island hospitality showcasing delicious food, beautiful gardens and unique shopping. Avonlea is the fictitious name that Lucy Maud Montgomery gave Cavendish in her famous novel Anne of Green Gables.

Located on Route 6 in Cavendish, the historic village has always been home to Montgomery’s legacy. Visit the Anne’s schoolhouse (1876), the minister’s residence (1906) and the Long River Church (1872).

Spend the day strolling the beautiful gardens. Shop the many quaint shops and Artisan Market. Enjoy a lovely meal at one of five different restaurants on site. Dave’s Lobster, Red Island Baked Potato, Samuel’s Coffee, Piatto Pizzeria and Moo Moo Grilled Cheese use locally produced products. Finish your day with a good old fashioned COWS super premium ice cream or some of our handmade Anne of Green Gables Chocolates.

Open daily June 18 to September 5.
