West Point Beach is located near the westernmost tip of PEI in the Cedar Dunes Provincial Park. The beach offers miles of deep red sandy beach and subtle dunes that overlook the warm waters of the Northumberland Straight. Shallower water and some protection from wind make this an ideal beach for small kids. West Point is great for exploring the shoreline and looking for sea glass. The black and white striped West Point Lighthouse is a popular spot for photos. Sunsets at this beach are legendary.  Some say they’re the best on the Island! This is a supervised beach and dogs are permitted on-leash.

Insider’s Tip: Take a stroll over to the West Point Lighthouse and climb to the top for some stunning 360 degree views!
